iTunes gets attacked by hackers

An iTunes user, Layne Harris said, his iTunes account hacked by someone who makes himself must pay the bill amounted to USD 700. "I contacted PayPal and they said that Apple has a lot to get attacks since last July. They (Apple-red) can barely handle all these reports," he complained.

The fraudsters seem to get access by sending fake emails to trick users into disclosing his iTunes user names and passwords account. Then they use that access to commit fraud that bear further material losses to real owners of iTunes account.

Apple itself has confirmed the rampant fraud. But they claim their company had been appealing all iTunes account holders to be more careful and willing to cooperate with the bank or credit card company if they are being a victim of fraud.

"ITunes is always trying to prevent fraud by improving password security of our users," wrote Apple's party in his official statement.
