N8, high end class Nokia using Symbian

Mobile phones for Nokia N8 has been go to public. A rumor said that N8 will be last Nokia version which using Symbian. Rumor said too, that the next Nokia might use a new operating system, MeeGo.

As quoted from CNet, Friday (06/25/2010), Nokia revealed that N8 is the latest N-Series mobile phones with Symbian OS. In line with the Symbian mobile phone top position would be taken over by MeeGo.
As it’s informed, Meego is a cross-platform OS resulted from corporation between Nokia and Intel Corp. Nokia has declared that MeeGo will be used for internet and mobile phone in all Nokia products. Unfortunately MeeGo still in development stage until recently.

But Symbian is not killed, Nokia states that Symbian will be in Nokia low middle mobile phones. Even at this time, Nokia develops Symbian 4 for their next low middle class mobile phone.
But N8 will be the last Nokia high end mobile phone in term of using symbian as their operating system. Nokia N8 looks like a last emperor of symbian.
